1.1 Tenant guide to renting

The property you have chosen is managed by Grainger Residential Management Ltd. We act as managing agents for a number of large residential investment landlords, one of whom is our parent company Grainger plc. All of our landlords are professional landlords whose business focus is on residential tenanted property.

  • Our regional property management teams look after all aspects of these tenancies. Letting agents are appointed by us to show prospective tenants our vacant properties and to assist us in completing the formalities which are necessary at the commencement of a tenancy.
  • When you rent a property through Grainger Residential Management Ltd we will make every reasonable endeavour to ensure that you are well informed throughout the tenancy and that it will be a pleasant experience.
  • Your offer has been accepted on the property you have selected, subject to contract and satisfactory references and the wheels have been set in motion to prepare for your taking occupation.
  • This Tenant Guide Folder should provide you with some of the essential information you need prior to renting a property from us. In particular it covers: what happens next, what a tenancy is about, what the tenancy agreement says and what the costs will be. You will receive a second folder when you move into the property which will contain information you will need when living in the property.
  • GRML offers some new tenants a years free subscription to the Help@Hand Lifestyle Management/Concierge Service, details are available from your agent, if applicable.

Administration fee
We do not charge an administration fee to our tenants for the preparation of the agreement and other related matters. We do not expect our agents to charge an administration fee of more than £50.00 for the processing of your application.
